Elisa Segrave was born in 1949 and grew up in Madrid, Berkshire and Sussex. She has lived in New York, Paris and Peru, and is an author, diarist and journalist. The Diary of a Breast was originally published by Faber in 1995. She is the author of the novel Ten Men (Faber, 1998), and the memoir The Girl from Station X: My Mother’s Unknown Life (Aurum Press, 2014). She has written for many newspapers and magazines, including the Guardian, the ObserverThe Times, the Independent and the London Review of Books.
