Dimitris Papaioannou

Dimitris Papaioannou is an award-winning choreographer, performer, and artist who first gained renown in the Greek underground art scene. A comics creator in the 1980s and ’90s, he later found success in the world of dance. He served as the artistic director of the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2004 Summer Olympics and continues to stage major works around the world.
