The Toronto Public Library will host Richard Hell for a discussion and signing of the NYRB Classics reissue of Godlike. A novel of compelling originality and transcendent beauty by Hell, the iconic poet and punk musician, Godlike transposes the notorious romance of Paul Verlaine and Arthur Rimbaud to the East Village in its squalid, glorious ’70s heyday. Award-winning novelist, blogger, and critic Sean Michaels will join Hell for a conversation of this stunning story of love set against the backdrop of a legendary New York scene.
