The Yale Department of Comparative Literature invites you to a discussion of the life and work of Hayim Nahman Bialik—widely considered the greatest Hebrew literary figure of his age—with the MacArthur-winning poet Peter Cole, whose translations of Bialik's poetry appear in a new collection, On the Slaughter, out from NYRB Poets in October. Cole will be joined in conversation by Robyn Creswell and Eliyahu Stern.
