Among the ten Longlist contenders for the 2025 National Book Award for Nonfiction is Lana Lin's The Autobiography of H. Lan Thao Lam, published by Dorothy, a publishing project, a St. Louis–based feminist publisher distributed by New York Review Books.
The Autobiography of H. Lan Thao Lam tells a story of queer love, life, and artistic collaboration, borrowing an innovative literary form from Gertrude Stein's 1933 The Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas.
