Gertrude Stein

Gertrude Stein (1874–1946) was a leading figure of twentieth-century modernism. A prolific novelist, poet, and playwright, she published over two dozen books during her lifetime, including Three Lives, Tender Buttons, The Making of Americans, and The Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas.
