Join Edwin Frank, NYRB Editorial Director, and Phillip John Usher, co-editor of Building the Louvre: Architectures of Politics and Art, at La Maison Française of NYU for a conversation on poetry, the Louvre, and the 2024 collection At the Louvre (NYRB Poets).
At the Louvre, coedited by Frank, brings together a hundred newly commissioned poems by a hundred of the world's most vibrant poets, all writing on works from the museum's collection, the museum's history, and on the embodied, sensorial experience of the museum's hallowed galleries. At the Louvre, available in English from NYRB Poets, is a collaboration between NYRB, The Louvre, and the French publisher Seghers, which publishes the French-language edition.
This event is open to the public, free, and can be attended in-person or via Zoom.
