Join Ainsley Morse, Zain Khalid, and Walker Rutter-Bowman for a discussion of Konstantin Vaginov's Goat Song.
Translated from the Russian by Morse, the 2025 NYRB Classics volume Goat Song gathers a pair of novels—Goat Song and Works and Days of Whistlin—by one of the Soviet Union's most inventive writers, written in the tradition of Gogol and Dostoyevsky but with a twentieth-century, modernist edge.
The conversation will be hosted by Edwin Frank, editorial director of New York Review Books.
This event is free and open to the public.
