He was a finalist for the Hans Christian Andersen Award and was the illustrator for the original \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003eChitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003eseries.
