Collection: Harold Acton

Harold Acton (1904–1994) was a prolific English writer, the model for the “aesthetic bugger” in various Evelyn Waugh novels. A prominent cultural figure in London and on the Continent in the 1920s, he moved to Beijing in 1932, collaborating on many translations, until the outbreak of the war forced him to leave in 1939.
