Skylight Books hosts multimedia and comics artist Aidan Koch for a presentation of her latest book, Spiral and Other Stories, forthcoming from New York Review Comics at the end of this month. Using watercolors, pencils, crayons, charcoals, and collage, Spiral and Other Stories builds worlds of dense detail and vast open spaces, urgent scrawled text and long silences, narrating relationships that transcend biological category—human and non-human, alive and inanimate.
Koch will be joined in conversation by curator, writer, and founder of Heavy Manners Library, Matthew James-Wilson.
Copies of Spiral are now available from Skylight Books and will be available for purchase on the night of the event. This event is free and open to the public, no reservation required.
